Where did March go?

I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter! I got to start my day with a run with my oldest son (he wants to run a 5k!), there was egg-dying and hunting and a great family brunch.

Cannot believe today is April 1st. For as slow as the days of February seemed to move, March just flew by!

Good things for March:
  • After giving my ITB some extra attention and extra rest days, I feel like I’m settling into a nice running groove!
  • Mileage is back on the right track
  • Finished the 30-day ab/core challenge and started round 2
  • Selected again as a ZOOMA Cape Cod Ambassador!
  • Returning to hill work πŸ˜‰
  • Running with my son
Things I could do without:Β
  • Taking a DNS for the New Bedford Half Β (I know it was the right choice though)
What’s up for April:
  • 1st race of the BAA Distance Medley – the BAA 5K is the Sunday of Marathon Weekend
  • And speaking of the Boston Marathon, I’ll be volunteering at the race this year!! I’ll be working in the Athlete’s Village greeting the buses and helping to direct runners to where they need to be. Very excited!
  • Running the Newport 10 Miler with my friend E Newport 10 Miler

How was your March? Any big plans for April?

  1. Im so so so so so returning to yoga in APRIL.
    pinky swear.

  2. My two spring races are in April – the 7th and 21st. Plus my son’s lacrosse team is in their conference games now. Really, I’m excited to run in shorts and a t-shirt without bundling up!

  3. You’ve got an exciting April coming up! I have to DNS my first half marathon (April 7) of the year due to injury. I’m still coming to terms with it. My April will be filled with PT appointments and hopefully returning to my early morning miles.

  4. You had a great March and the one downside, DNSing the half, was totally the right decision based on where you are now! You’ll have so much fun at Boston–cool gig!

  5. Have fun both at BAA 5K and volunteering. I am going to miss being at Boston this year after running 2 years in a row, too poor this year to make the trip again πŸ™ but I will be back when I am done with grad school!

  6. I think march was sort of a surprise…we had a lot happen and travels and still I actually stuck to all my strength training! April is going to be lots of fun as the changes keep coming

  7. I’d love to volunteer at Boston one year! My friend did it last year and said it was amazing.

  8. Wait, is March OVER? Sheesh time flies. How FUN being in athletes village. The whole Boston experience was very special to me. I’d love to go back and volunteer or spectate some day.

  9. March was a good month of training.
My first full marathon of the year is 4/6th.
Then I settle down for a few weeks and then start training for the St. Louis Marathon in October.
Going to start early, because my goal is to Qualify for the Boston Marathon.

  10. March wasn’t a good running month for me due to this thing called laziness!! πŸ™‚ April is going to be so much better!!!

I don’t ever want to run a marathon, but now volunteering would be loads of fun.

  11. I swear it seems like March was barely here already. Maybe time is speeding up, or I am just wasting too much of it πŸ™‚

  12. Glad that March was a mostly great month for you. Have a great time volunteering for Boston!
