Runfessions for April

And, as is so often the case, we’ve blinked an another month is quickly coming to an end. But before I put April in the rearview mirror, for this week’s Fit Five Friday, I’m joining Marcia to share some Runfessions.

Runfessions for April

So can you have runfessions if you’re not currently running? Let’s see…

I runfess that getting emails from one of my fave races while I’m sidelined is like salt in a wound. I will miss not toeing the line this Memorial Day weekend but there’s always next year.

And, speaking of emails, I runfess that I’m really starting to question Gmail’s spam filter based on some of the emails I’ve been receiving. For example, I’ve received two emails from a woman pitching her article for my blog on top sex positions for maximum calorie burn…meanwhile emails from legit companies that I subscribe to are landing in the spam folder?!? BTW, the article’s author felt the need to add the claim “research-backed” to her subject line…I runfess that was an additional nugget of information I could have lived without LOL.

Received any interesting emails lately?

  1. I question the “unsubscribe” effectiveness on said junk email. There are numerous emails that find me & seem to ignore my repeated unsubscribing actions. That’s a bummer to be missing a fav race 🙁

  2. I’m so sorry you’re sidelined. Those race emails are painful when you can’t run.

My gmail is 99% spam. So annoying!

  3. Eeew on that email. Some people, I swear. I’m so sorry you’re not running yet but hopefully soon. Just the mention of Memorial Day gives me anxiety as that’s graduation weekend and I’ve got SO much I need to do for that NOW. Ugh!

  4. Ha ha, I get some annoying emails but none as “interesting” as that.
Oh yes, I know that salt-in-the-wound feeling. It sucks! Just keep pretending you don’t see the emails : )

  5. Oh, man! I never get the good emails. I always get pitches for stuff like crypto and stupid things like that.

  6. Ugh – sorry about that race email – I hate that.

I always seem to get the weird emails twice and often get legit stuff sent to spam, too!

  7. I’m so sorry that you’re still not running – I’m in the same boat. 🙁

    Ugh on those emails!

  8. LOL I have gotten some crazy email pitches lately too! Maybe that “research backed” article is onto something…ha ha
It is never fun to be sidelined and all of the emails and posts everywhere just do make it worse. I know you will be back out there soon. Chin-up friend 🙂

  9. I admit I laughed when I read the 2nd runfession. Research-backed? Umm, OK. 🙂
