Catching Up Over April Coffee

Over coffee I would tell you that while we’ve hit a couple of snags, I am celebrating that our kitchen cabinets have been delivered and the painters started their work earlier this week. We’re that much closer to wrapping up the reno!

Over coffee, I’d ask you if you got swept up into March Madness? College basketball has been on non-stop in our house, and I’ve been loving that the women’s games have been as exciting as the men’s!

And speaking of college, over coffee I would you that we are in the final push to College Decision Day! We have a campus to visit on the calendar for each of the first 3 weekends of the month as my high schooler continues to narrow down his choices.

Over coffee, I would tell you that I as part of my Spring reset, I’m doing the Miracle Morning 30 day challenge. I have been wanting to shift back to an early morning start to my day (including workouts) and this month feels like a great time to do that!

What would you tell me over coffee? Are you an earlier riser?

  1. Hooray for kitchen cabinets! I’m excited to see the finished project!

You know I’m a morning riser, although today is a little too early for me. I’m heading to the pool in a bit.

  2. Yay for the cabinet arrival! Your kitchen will take shape rapidly now! Can’t wait to hear more about the challenge! How exciting about the big college decision too!

  3. Yay for the kitchen Reno.

I’m an easy riser but I hate to run in the cold or dark. Hopefully that will change soon. I will go to the gym early.

Good luck with the college decision.

Not a basketball fan. At all.

  4. Cabinets and college decisions make for an exciting month!

FB tells me our kitchen reno was 7 years ago. I’m still loving it!

  5. That is exciting about the renovation! Is your son looking to stay local or out of town/state?

  6. Glad to hear that your kitchen is moving along. Can’t wait to see the final pics. College acceptance to me is so exciting! Since our kids moved out, I am not in the throws of March Madness anymore. So not a morning person here but I will cheer you on!

  7. Ooh! I heard Hal Elrod speak on a podcast about the Miracle Morning. I want to hear all about it!!!
I followed March Madness until Baylor lost (early on.) I’m kind of bummed that I haven’t been that into it- last year I really enjoyed it.
Yay for cabinets and yay for college decisions coming up! It’s an exciting time. Good luck with everything.

  8. March Madness has been over-the-top exciting! The Iowa women have really been bringing their A game to the court 🙂 As for the men’s games, I’m currently in first place in our BB pool… I was in second place last week, so this is really fun being the #1 participant (fingers crossed that holds through the championship game!).

  9. Renovations never seem to go as planned but it’s going to be awesome when it’s completed!

I love the excitement for Women’s NCAA tournament – I’ve barely paid attention to the men’s this year!

  10. Eeek! Decision day!!! We are starting our college tours in May, and it’s just so surreal.

I filled out a bracket on behalf of the Alter Ego group, but I’m not a basketball girl, and so I just made random guesses. I was doing pretty well last I checked!

I am an EARLY riser. I can’t help it.

Can’t wait to see you kitchen all complete!
