Coffee Chat – May ’26 Edition

Hello May! Can you believe we’re at the start of a new month already?!

And, since it’s the first Friday of the month, for this week’s Fit Five Friday, I’m joining Coco and Deborah for the Ultimate Coffee Date. Grab a mug and let’s chat!

Coffee Chat – May ’26 Edition

Over coffee, I’d tell that for the first time in forever the month ahead doesn’t feel like the typical “May-hem.” Is it a sign of the times of my kids being older? No work commitments (yes I’m still enjoying semi-retirement)? While I do have some things planned, I am pleased to see more white space on my calendar than usual for May.

Over coffee, I’d tell you one commitment I’m really looking forward to later this month is volunteering with Girls on the Run! I love that their programs focus on building girls’ self-esteem through movement. I’m going to be a course marshall for their end-of-season 5K celebration – should be a lot of fun!

Over coffee, I’d tell you that this blog turned 16 earlier this week! Kinda blows my mind – and a big thanks to all you have shared in this journey over the years.

So tell me, what have you got planned for this month?

  1. Happy Blogaversary! It’s amazing how long our little group has been blogging. I love the friendships that have developed over the years. I didn’t realize you were semi-retired–I have been as well and am actually considering full-on retirement next year. As much as I love my job, it’s starting to feel like it’s time to scale back! Enjoy that Girls on the Run gig!

  2. Congrats on 16 years! I’ll bet blogging looks a lot different now than it did then.
I’m also not experiencing May-hem, and I think it is something about the kids being older. All my daughter’s concerts and events are over, and we’re just coasting to the end of the school year. And if anything, my work starts to slow down now. I almost feel guilty when people are complaining about being overwhelmed this month!
