June is quickly winding down and Marcia has once again opened the runfessional so for this week’s Fit Five Friday, I’ve got a couple of runfessions to share.
Streaking Runfessions
I’m on day 26 of the #StreakingwiththeCoolKids challenge, and I runfess that I’m pleasantly surprised by how good my legs have been feeling. The challenge is to run or walk a continuous mile daily and I think the additional walking miles between runs have been a bonus on the recovery front.
I also streak-fess that on the days my schedule hasn’t allowed for an early workout, I’ve learned to get creative to keep my streak alive – like walking multiple laps around the mall after stopping in to purchase a gift. It didn’t hurt that it was a scorching hot day and the mall was air-conditioned…yes my treadmill is still out of commision.
Lastly, I runfess that I’m aiming to carry this streak into July – if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it, right?
So tell me, any runfessions to share. Have your ever tried streaking?

Good for you to keep the streak alive! Except for when I was recovering from hip surgery, hubby and I have had a walk streak going since the onset of the Covid shutdown. I don’t really think of it as a streak but I guess it is.
That’s a fantastic streak! Are you back at it now that you’ve recovered?
Nice job on your streak and continuing on into July! I’m on two decent streaks – one for daily steps and one for Peloton classes.
Both of those sound like good ones! I have a Peloton streak going as well – seeing that daily check mark on the app is addictive 🙂
Well done on your steak! That’s how my #OptOutside streak began… doing an outdoor fitness activity everyday for a month. It was so easy to sneak in a quick walk, even on the frigid winter days, that I just kept doing it. I just hit the 1,900 mark a month ago, and it’s now just a daily routine. Awesome job… keep up the great work!
Wow – way to go Kim! I’m hoping Mother Nature doesn’t derail me and I can keep this rolling right through the summer.
I ran every day for 5 years and 2 days. I sometimes needed to be creative, too! Hopefully July won’t be too warm!
Over 5 years is amazing! Did you always run outside or did you hit the treadmill too?
I’m so glad you hopped on the streak! It’s a really great habit and I love that it allows for walking! So fun!
I love that it allows for walking too – I don’t think my legs would tolerate daily runs. Thanks again for suggesting the streak!
