Catching Up Over July Coffee
Over coffee, I would start by telling you that I’m still streaking. I logged 54.6 miles in June and I’m hoping to match or surpass that total this month if Mother Nature will cooperate!
And, speaking of the weather, over coffee I would ask if you’re also dealing with a heat wave? We’re currently on day 3 of what looks to be a 4-day stretch of temps in the high 90s with a heat index hovering around 104. Thankfully the forecast is showing a break starting Sunday.
Over coffee, I would tell you how much I’ve been enjoying running in the new Paramount Max. Saucony reached out with an offer to test the shoes ahead of their July launch. Funny enough I used to only run in Saucony years ago until one of their annual design updates of the Triumph didn’t work so well for me and I moved on. Well, I’m glad I gave this new design a go – I absolutely loved these shoes right out of the box and I haven’t run in anything else for the past month and a half.
Lastly, over coffee, I would tell you how much I’m looking forward to our family vacation at the end of the month. We’re heading to Nova Scotia and P.E.I. – can.not.wait!

Isn’t it lovely when shoes just click with you? I’ve had that experience with everything from Altra, and Xero shoes. I hope they keep these Sauconys to your liking now, it’s frustrating when a so-called update isn’t really an upgrade.
Here the heatwave is over, we had fantastic weather some week ago with temps up to just below 30C and now it’s sunny and nice but too cool for my liking with about 18C and wind.
