2019 Year in Bling

For today’s Tuesday Topics, Kim and Zenaida are inviting everyone to share their bling for 2019. How fun!

While there were not a lot of races on my calendar this year – the ones I did run offered some great bling with great memories behind each one.

Boston’s Run to Remember Half Marathon

This race is one of my favorites – I love that it honors fallen first responders.

B.A.A 10K

This is another race I have run on multiple occasions – it’s a great run through Boston

Narragansett 10K

Such a fun race, despite the sweltering summer heat! Thankfully there was post-race beer!

No bling but a cute shirt!

Surftown Half Marathon

Half marathon #15 was a training run for the Chicago Marathon

International Chicago 5K & Chicago Marathon

Just an awesome weekend…and my first marathon!

Chocolate Marshmallow 5K

How can you not want to run a race with this name!

And that’s my year in bling! I can’t wait to add to the collection in 2020!

  1. Nice bling! Don’t get me wrong, I love bling but it’s even better when the race has a nice shirt. Most of us don’t wear our medals after the race but I have 3 or 4 cute race shirts that I wear all the time.

  2. You racked up some nice bling this year Michelle!

  3. You had a great year–you conquered the marathon! So proud of you. Looking forward to seeing what you do next year. Enjoy the holidays!

  4. I love that we have 4 of the same medals 🙂
I really love the BAA 10K medal too.

  5. Any year with a marathon in it is a great one, especially a FIRST marathon! Congrats on all your accomplishments.

  6. Nice collection.

I love the SurfTown. And of course my marathon one is my favorite so I bet yours is too.

Hope we both get some great ones in 2020

  7. Nice medals! Have you signed up for races for next year?

  8. I love that Run to Remember medal, and it sounds like an awesome race. I’ve never done the Chicago International 5K before the marathon, but I’m thinking about doing it next year. I love this year’s medal!

    • The Chicago 5K was a little chaotic but a fun way to get a shakeout run before the marathon. Run to Remember is truly one of my fave races – you should come to Boston to run it 😉
