Runfession #1 — I’ve been feeling really off these last couple of weeks.  I’ve managed to get my workouts in, but my energy level has been pretty low, and the runs are turtle slow.  Now to figure out if this is nutrition based …

Runfession #2 —  Speaking of nutrition, I confess that I have seriously dropped the ball on my food journaling. In fact I may have lasted just a week or so. I know it can be effective, but I just found it mind-numbing.

The count

Runfession #3 —  I have finally lost all patience with my Forerunner 10 – you kind of lose the effect of the early morning run if you have to wait forever to find a satellite. Given my aforementioned turtle pace, I’m just fine with running “naked.”

Runfession #4 — Remember my gym eavesdropper? Well I confess that during my training session last week I may have given her some serious stink-eye…and she’s moved on 🙂

Runfession #5 —  My husband J just signed up to join me in Sunday’s race. While I had no serious goals for this race, I must admit that part of me is feeling a little competitive now…

OK so now it’s your turn….what do you run-fess?

  1. I would feel competitive if my hubby signed up for the same race as me too. 🙂 Even though I know I would beat him, I’d try to beat him by A LOT. lol that sounds pretty bad. He could crush me in a push up contest though. 🙂

    • I think I get so competitive because I know my hubs can beat me, but just once I’d like to see if I can beat him to that finish line 🙂

  2. The good ol’ stink eye works every time! LOL. I am struggling mightily with low energy. Could it be (EEK) my age? I wish I had the answer or a magic cure. Please let me know if you find something that works!

    • Sorry you’re dealing with the low energy thing too – not fun! Yep I’m sure my age is playing a role too, but my quest for the magic cure goes on! LOL!

  3. I love that you utilized the stink eye and she moved on! I am right there with you on food journaling. Even though I had a good thing going, it’s ancient history now. Ugh. Have a great race and fun weekend!

  4. Love the stink eye! haha. and I hate my Forerunner 10. Just hate it. But in life I have priorities and a new Garmin is just not in the cards so I either don’t run with it or suck it up. It’s frustrating as heck though! Good luck in your race this weekend.

    • I’m with you on the other priorities when it comes to getting a new Garmin. I tried the Map My Run app on my run this morning – jury’s still out on whether this could be an alternative.

  5. I bought my vivoactive because I couldn’t stand how long it took to get a signal for my old 110. I do not regret that at all!

  6. Hubby would beat me in a race, but he’s a sweetie and usually runs with me even though it slows him down.

  7. I have an old Garmin 10 and I really like it because it’s so simple. But sometimes it does take forever to find a signal. I wonder why? But I just wait, bc if I can’t see my distance I never remember how far I go…haha

  9. I’ve been totally overindulging on chocolate these last couple of weeks. Sooooo gooood….

Yep, I have the Forerunner 10 and it takes a lot of patience sometimes to get a satellite. Other times it comes right up. Crazy!

  10. Hah! Maybe your husband will spur you to find your running mojo. I never had issues with my Forerunner 10 finding the satellite, but I know others did. My 235 finds it pretty well – even when I travel. I hope you are feeling better, but I have to say the sudden heat and humidity are taking a toll on me.

  11. I hit a point where I had to ditch my Forerunner 10 too. I hear from everyone they die after a few years. Ughhhhhh
