Wednesday Word – Challenging

I’ve really been enjoying Deb’s #WednesdayWord posts, so I thought this week I’d join in.

Deb Runs

This week’s word – “Challenging”

Right now challenging to me means…

… not being able to run as far as I’d like

…. letting go of “should haves” and accepting what is

…. getting creative to keep both body and mind fit

…. finding the lesson in each moment

…. pushing beyond my limits

…. always looking for new ways to test my abilities

What does “challenging” mean to you?

    • Isn’t it interesting how many of us can relate to letting go of the “should haves?” We can really be our own worst critics sometimes.

  5. Love the “letting go of should haves” – that is a neverending challenge for me. It’s a fine line between dreaming big of what we want vs being satisfied with what we have. The comparison trap is so tough!

  6. I love the one about getting creative when you’re limited by injury. That has been one of my biggest life lessons since I’ve been running. There’s always a silver lining, whether or not we choose to see it.

  8. Challenging is to both the mind and the body and sometimes the mind is the biggest challenge. Letting go of the should haves is probably the toughest thing for me as I get older, accepting what is, is tough because of all the things that you believe you should have, could have or simply did not do, passes you by and there is no going back to do many of them. Great post MIchelle.
