Just a Couple of May Runfessions

Hello, Long Weekend! Here we are at the start of Memorial Day Weekend – the unofficial start to summer in the US! It’s also the last Friday of the month, so for this week’s Fit Five Friday, I’m linking up with Marcia to share a couple of Runfessions.

A Couple of May Runfessions

I runfess that despite my best intentions I have not shifted back to early morning running yet. I blame my erratic sleep patterns. Thankfully, the weather has cooperated and my midday or post-work runs haven’t been too warm. But I know I’m on borrowed time….

My schedule has been so crazy lately that I blogfess I actually missed my blog anniversary last month. I started this blog back on 4/27/10 with this post. My blogging has definitely taken a hit in the last few months, and there are many moments where I think I just don’t have the time. But I love the folks it has brought into my life and the connection it continues to provide.

Do you keep track of your blogging milestones?

  1. I feel you on the blogging–sometimes it feels like a chore but I love the connections we all have made in our little group!

  2. I blogfess my blogiversary was in January, and it was a big one (10 years). And whoops…I totally spaced it off, LOL. I agree it can seem a burden at times, but I love the rewards (and the fellow bloggers) too much to let it go.

  3. I runfess I’ve forgotten about blogiversaries. What I find interesting though is going back and reading the comments on really old posts and remembering those bloggers that are mostly long gone. Sigh.
I was also thinking back to marathon training years when I’d be out running at 5:30 am and back before 7 so hubby could go to work. I doubt I still have that kind of discipline in me.
    Congrats on 10 years!

  4. I blogfess that I used post about my anniversaries but again this I forgot- it was March 2008… I have tried to keep up with blogging 3x each year but I’m only able because I work from home and can squeeze in posts on breaks and write them way ahead.

Same here about pre-work runs… haven’t happened yet but I think they will once the temps heat up.

  5. I have thought about whether I want to keep blogging numerous times the past year. I do love the connections I’ve made and would not want to lose those. It is a lot of work though! I know I will have to get up earlier to run when it starts heating up but I am in denial at the moment!

  6. Sometimes WordPress reminds me — I don’t keep track. But I started on WP back in 2001 I think (not with this blog, obviously).

Because I am busy with other things these days, I’ve just cut way back on my blogging. Obviously.

13 years is definitely a long time for a blog! Congrats!

  7. Well, happy (belated) blogiversary! I hope you (and everyone else in our little group) continues to blog- but I know, it can be a time suck. Even if you just do the weekly rundown, you’ll stay connected to the community.
Yes, summer is coming! The weather will soon convince you to do those early runs.

  8. Happy belated blogiversary! I love to celebrate any and all anniversaries! 2010 – you were an OG!

  9. I missed my ten year blog-versary, but I’m making up for it with my 5k anniversay.

  10. Congrats on 10 years of blogging! I feel the same way as you. Many times I struggle to come up with something good to write or make time for it. But I also love the comments, advice, etc., I get from everyone.

  11. I do not keep track of my blogging milestones any more. Maybe if WordPress reminded me ….
