March Runfessions

Happy Friday! March has blown by and now we’re here on the last Friday of the month, which of course means it’s time for some soul (or is that sole?) cleansing. Marcia has opened the runfessional and I’ve got some ‘fessing to do, so let’s get to it, shall we?

March Runfessions

Runch Lover

Last month I runfessed that I was chasing the weather to find the day’s most mild temps. Well, I runfess that all that weather chasing has turned me into a fan of “runches” – runs during lunch. I have found myself stalking my weather app and when possible planning afternoon zoom calls around my run schedule.

Shoppers Anonymous

I runfess that I think I may need to put myself in a shopping timeout. I seem to be craving “all the gear” lately and may or may not have a number of items in the carts of a couple of my favorite brands.

Peloton Sharing

While I love having my oldest son taking classes from home for a bit, I runfess that I am less fond of having to share my Peloton bike. I mean yes technically we bought the bike for “the family” and everyone tried it initially, but I’m really the one who wanted it and have been the only one consistently riding it ….until now.

  1. When my youngest was home over Christmas break, he was using my fitness equipment and yes, sometimes it’s hard to share! Although ii am so glad he was working out and I loved having him home…well, anyway, I know you get it!

  2. I’ve been runching on occasion, usually for weather-stalking purposes. The early morning runs usually are my best option, but I have ZERO issue running whatever time of day I can fit it in, LOL. My online shopping is pretty tame these days. I recently acquired a few more items for my birthday, so my closet overfloweth. Ha ha, I get that same “sharing” thing, on occasion, with our bike (though it’s not a Peloton bike). I feel you!! 🙂

  3. I do love a good runch if it’s extra cold or gross in the morning. A nice option to have! You know I feel you on the shopping. No spend February was good for my soul!

  4. I do love a good runch. It’s often too cold and dark before work. I stalk the weather all the time. I think today I may sneak out for a run. I’ll be very sad when I go back to the office. The end of runches.

I am obsessed with postmark. Cheap new used running shoes.

  5. I was just posting on Marcia’s site that I have a serious closet issue. My activewear obsession is overflowing everywhere. I have realized I need more nice clothes so this week I ordered a bunch. Someone stop me! I have nowhere to put them but I feel like I have nothing to wear. lol Ooh that felt good to get off of my chest 🙂

  6. I struggle with runches — I have a hard time settling back into work.

LOL on sharing your bike. It could be annoying adjusting it each time, although that is what I had to do at spinning class.

My husband doesn’t even want to share “my” gym anymore — he keeps a set of weights in the family room to use while he watches tv.

  7. Ha ha… that’s funny about the Peloton bike. When my son is home I lose my “yoga studio” so I hear you.
There’s no way I can runch with my work schedule, and it’s usually too hot here anyway. But today I’ll be heading out for an unusual “pre-dinner” run. I can see how I “runch” would be way better than a cold, dark early morning run for you.

  8. I love a good runch but haven’t been doing it lately.

That’s funny about the bike! I hope you at least get your time preferences!

  9. I haven’t been too bad with shopping lately, but I could definitely buy less too, if that makes sense. I always have stuff in carts! I don’t always actually buy what’s in my cart though.

I’m sorry that your son is encroaching on your Peloton time! How dare he, LOL?

  10. I became a dress person during the pandemic so I *need* to buy more since I don’t care for most of my tops anymore. That in no way explains the new sneaks I’ve been eyeing!
I love the idea of runches. Don’t work for my schedule but maybe for fall
