Weekly wrap wk 2

My goodness did this week fly by! It was one of those weeks where I felt like I was constantly juggling, and working out was often a “what you can, when you can” situation #wycwyc  😉 I’m joining in with Holly & Tricia again for another weekly update. So let’s break it down, shall we?

WeeklyWrap (1)

Monday — My Mondays are typically nutty – in large part because I don’t work on Fridays so the number of emails waiting for me Monday mornings sometimes verges on ridiculous. Nonetheless, I managed to get 25 minutes of yoga to help maintain a little zen.

Tuesday — Another day of scrambling, so I had to settle for squeezing in some planks in between conference calls.

Wednesday — I woke up determined to get in a run, but once again work and family schedules collided.  Settled for a short walk and 20 minutes more of yoga.

Thursday — 3 mile run/walk!

Friday — I was surprisingly sore from the hills of Thursday’s route. So, I took it easy and enjoyed my day off with an afternoon of shopping and lunch with a friend.

Saturday — A mix of shuttling to and from the boys’ various sports activities, buying our tree and finally starting to decorate. Sadly, no workout.

track with ESunday — Headed to the track with my oldest son – great way to start the day!

Not as much working out as I would have liked  – but sometimes that’s just the way it goes. I’m hoping to get ahead of the madness this week and get at least 3 runs in, along with a couple of days of strength work and yoga.

So how was your week?

  1. My work is crazy right now and Mondays are the worst. That happens to be my rest day usually but I’d probably do better to an early morning run. It is wonderful you went to the track with your son and it sounds as if your return to running is going well. I’m so happy to see you on the link this week, Michelle.

  2. My week was good and I plan to make this one absolutely great!
Enter break starts the 21st and it will be all family all the time through the new year.

  3. Thanks Michelle for joining us again this week! I’m afraid it is that time of year when it is such a challenge to get our activity in. I get overwhelmed with emails too on Monday mornings. I’m a little OCD about it too where I have to read them in order oldest to newest. Ha. It is nice your off on Friday’s though! I hope your weeks goes better!

    • My son loves going to the track – and while I’m no where near ready for speed work, I’ll never turn down a chance to run with him 🙂 Did you get into CB? Just got my notice – so excited!

  5. Seriously it’s all flying too fast. The year is essentially over. I am grateful to be in my “off season” cuz training is way on the back burner right now. Way. I’m counting decorating as a workout.

    • Work-wise I can never figure out why everyone waits to the end of the year and then decides “it has to happen now!” – clients can be exhausting. Hope things settle down for you soon.
