While temps around here yoyo’d for a bit, there’s no doubt now that winter running season is in full effect. Having the right gear can make all of the difference when dealing with the elements, which is why I jumped at the chance to try out the BUFF® DryFlx+ neckwarmer and headband. I’ve been a long-time fan of BUFF® products so I was really interested in seeing what this new collection was all about.

Well, if you’ve been following me on Instagram then you already know that both items have become staples on my runs. I am especially in love with the neckwarmer! It is warm and cozy, yet does a great job of wicking away sweat and offered great breathability – especially important when using it as a face mask. I also appreciate the seamless design which helps to avoid any potential rubbing or chaffing.

The headband is also designed as a one-knitted piece using the same material as the neckwarmer. While I tend to be more of a hat girl for winter runs, I can say that I liked that this headband stayed put, wicked away sweat, and kept my ears warm. Can’t really ask for more than that, can you?!

Overall, the DryFlx+ Collection is another win for BUFF® in my book and why they continue to be one of my favorite brands.

  1. These sound great! I usually prefer headbands to hats, unless it’s really cold out. And breathability is so important in a neck warmer, especially now that we often use them as face masks!

  2. I go back and forth with headbands and hats (honestly, I love both LOL)…so I guess it depends on the mood or how sweaty I want my hair to get. I have had good luck with BUFF products, glad these followed suit.

  3. the buffs are always great for winter running bc they are so versatile. Especially this year they are also perfect for protection. Nice review!

  4. You can never go wrong with Buff products! This is a new one to me so I’ll have to check it out, and thanks for the discount code!

  5. We are going skiing this weekend and Buffs will be the rage! They are the most functional face covering while skiing and still continue to wear a mask for COVID protection. This product looks very soft and comfortable!

  6. Buff products are great! I prefer hats to headbands. I also agree that having the right gear is important when dealing with the cold, hot, humid, etc., weather.

  7. That looks super warm and toasty!

I only use a buff/gaiter a few times a year, so I am content with the freebies I get from races. As long as I can cover my ears, I’m happy.

  8. I don’t wear headbands very often because they always seem to slide off the back of my head but I’m all about gaiters now that the weather has cooled off. I love that they keep my neck warm and make it easy to cover my face if I need to.

  9. I love headbands when it’s cold outside!
    These Buff products look great.
Now that wearing a mask while running is mandatory in South Africa, I will need to look into wearing something around my neck that I can pull up.

  10. Luckily, I never have to use headgear for the cold as we don’t really get temperatures warranting it. But I’ve found the buffs really useful as a replacement for a mask!

  11. I’m a huge fan of BUFF products, so this one looks like another winner. Thanks for a great review!
