We blinked and the month of February is just about done! It’s time for another edition of Fit Five Friday, and, since it’s the last Friday of the month, I’m linking up with Marcia to share some Runfessions.
Winter Weather Runfessions
I runfess that I have been hibernating. While I’m usually a bundle up and go kind of runner, this winter I have to admit that I just don’t want to. It has been exceptionally frigid and my motivation to wear all the layers and dodge the ice has reached an all-time low.
I also runfess that my running has taken a hit in the past few weeks. While I’m grateful to own a treadmill, I’ve never made it a secret how much I dislike running on one. We have another storm in the forecast for this weekend, so I think I’ll be embracing time on my bike and strength training for the forseable future.
There, winter whining done, LOL – Anyone else counting down the days to Spring?

I believe meterological spring starts on March 1 so I’m going with that. I don’t blame you one bit for not wanting to get out. The temps just might hit my age here today so yay! But we’re getting snow tomorrow. Ugh. Over it!
We had snow on the first and the temps have dropped again. I keep telling myself that I will not complain about the weather this summer 😉
This winter has been particularly rough for us here in DC. I am not a fan at all. Ready for spring for sure!
Definitely seems like a lot more of the country to a winter hit than usual – Spring can’t come fast enough!
Oh I’ve been ready for doting (actually, summer if I’m being totally honest) since Thanksgiving weekend. Even though it’s been pretty precip-free here, it’s been crazy cold & windy for the most part.
The wind has been especially rough!
I hate winter, the cold, gray skies and all the layers. This winter has been particularly awful..
I don’t do treadmills so I have to go outside and when you have a big race, you just do it…
True – which is why I’m especially happy I’m not training for anything right now!
I’m sooooooo done with this winter BS. That’s probably another reason why I haven’t really started running again!!
Don’t blame you one bit – might as well wait for better weather, right?
I love the idea of spring, but as you well know we too frequently fast forward to summer.
Best of luck with snowmageddon 3.0
Sadly true – I hold out hope for a “proper” spring this year.
I don’t mind my tread, but keep my runs short!
I had no choice but to wear all the layers for skiing this week, but I’m glad to come home to some warm weather this weekend!
I saw your FB posts – hope the skiing was good!
We’ve had some unseasonably warm days and some frigid ones. It’s been nutty. I don’t mind the treadmill – especially if I can watch TV. Hopefully, spring is right around the corner.
Keeping my fingers crossed!
Winter whine all you want! I don’t blame you one bit.
I just want to mention that I didn’t link my post here- I don’t know how that keeps happening??? I don’t mind linking up with you guys, it’s just that my post wasn’t fitness related at all. Oh well- I’m sure everyone was a little puzzled about the Christmas crack and cat info. : )
LOL your posts are always welcome! And, now I am curious to know what all goes into the Christmas crack 🙂
I dont know… I kept blinking and February was still right there!
I hope it warms up soon! For you. Not for me LOL!
Please feel free to send any “extra” warm weather my way LOL!
Sigh, haha. I want to be a DIY-er but I’m not very handy (if only…) so the most I’ve really made it to = painting stuff, haha. Best of luck in whichever route you decide on!!
